R.I.P. Rex

Rex the goldfish apparently couldn't handle the Baker life. He only lasted two days. Thank goodness he cost us a measly buck.

We're holding out on his friend Perry before we buy anymore fish.

So the saga continues...

Really?..wow. Try a Beta..those lasted awhile for me and they are much prettier than goldfish.

we had a fish once. it was a beta. we took horrible care of it. seriously. one time someone was at our house and asked if he could take the fish home because he would take better care of it. he did. it lived for several more months. it might have lived for 1 more day if we had kept it.

Beta is the way to go.

Pardon the pun, but something seems a little fishy at the Baker household. Sounds like fish abuse to me. Maybe the Bakers is where fish go to die...Coincidence? I think not!

Tamila currently has a beta that is thriving. Unfortunately Aaron's the owner of the goldfish. (He has owned a beta before, that one bit the dust prematurely as well.) Maybe Aaron wasn't meant to be a fish owner? Hmmm....

I think that you're on the right track there Laurel. I had a fish this summer in my office. I forgot to feed him one weekend, it died after 3 weeks. That's the nature of fish.

Maybe you should just rent Finding Nemo and call it a day.

Yeah...I don't know. Maybe we should just fill the aquarium with fake fish. You know the kind that are suspended by string from a glass bubble? They float in the water like real fish. To top it off the water never gets dirty either.

Or we can just fill it with rocks.

actually, we have one of those 'fake' aquariums that needs a new home. It was very handy and looked great. By the by, Kirsten Zerba was asking about you..she was not a Zerba in her past..don't recall what it was, Steve would know.

Kirsten? She must have married James. Cool. If anyone ever needs to find me, just have them look me up on Facebook. Nice and easy that way!

certainly hope you didn't let him go to waste. A little butter and salt can make goldfish sing!
